Washington Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Youth (CDHY) Outreach Team offers statewide services to deaf and hard of hearing students, teachers of the deaf, educators serving the deaf, educational interpreters and families of deaf infants, toddlers and students.
We can provide support by:
Offering observation and consultation and/or training to:
- General Education Teachers
- Special Education Teachers
- Educational Interpreters
- Speech/Language Pathologists
- Program Administrators
- Family Resources Coordinators
- School Psychologists
Child-Specific Services (ages birth to 21):
- Classroom observations and recommendations
- Resource recommendations, curriculum and materials
- IFSP/IEP/504 development and transition support
- Evaluations: speech, academic, psychological, language (including ASL), listening skills and equipment
- Audiology/technology support
Program-Specific Services:
- American Sign Language/English bilingual education
- Listening/Spoken Language education
- Signing Exact English education
