The Washington Deaf-Blind Project staff and consultants are working through the current COVID-19 outbreak to offer support to early intervention teams, PreK-12 educators and families. We are following guidelines and decisions made by our host agency, which requires that we work at a distance. To meet individual needs of teams and families, we can support you via:
- Telephone
- Facetime or Skype
- Zoom (or other group videoconferencing systems used by your agency)
In addition to participating in virtual home visits and meetings, we can help with assessments that can be completed via an interview with a caregiver or educator. Following our virtual session, we will provide a brief written summary of recommendations, including links to video demonstrations and other resources as appropriate.
We hope you are well, and hope to learn how we can continue to support you during this time.
Sincerely,
Katie Humes, Director of the Washington Deaf-Blind Project
